How to Compare Gun Parts Prices Online

Stop checking a dozen websites one by one. Here's how to use GunCloud to find the best price on any firearm part in seconds — and never overpay again.

Why Price Comparison Matters for Gun Parts

The firearm parts market is fragmented. Brownells, MidwayUSA, Primary Arms, Palmetto State Armory, Optics Planet, and dozens of other retailers all carry overlapping inventory — but at wildly different prices. A mil-spec BCG that costs $89 at one retailer might be $129 at another. An optic mount that's out of stock at your usual shop might be in stock and on sale somewhere else.

Most shooters either stick to one retailer out of habit, or spend 20 minutes opening tabs and comparing prices manually. GunCloud was built to eliminate that friction entirely.

GunCloud's Three Search Modes

Every search on GunCloud runs across hundreds of licensed US retailers simultaneously. Here's how each mode works and when to use it.

01

Keyword Search

The fastest way to find a specific part. Type any part name, brand, or description — "Geissele SSA-E trigger", "M-LOK handguard 15 inch", "Trijicon MRO" — and GunCloud returns matching results ranked by best price. Results update as you type with a 320ms debounce so you're never waiting.

Best for: when you know exactly what you want and just need the best price.

02

Search by Firearm

Select your firearm platform from 40+ supported models — AR-15, AK-47, Glock 19, Sig P320, Remington 700, and more — and browse parts that are confirmed compatible with that specific gun. No more guessing whether a part fits your platform.

Best for: building or upgrading a specific firearm and need to see all compatible parts at once.

03

Part Number Lookup

Have a manufacturer part number from a manual, schematic, or previous order? Enter it directly for an exact match. This is the most precise search mode — zero ambiguity, one result.

Best for: replacement parts, warranty repairs, or when you have the exact OEM part number.

Reading the Price Comparison Table

Every search result on GunCloud includes a price comparison table showing every retailer that stocks that part, their current price, shipping cost, and a direct link to buy. The table is sorted by total cost (part price + shipping) by default so the best deal is always at the top.

Retailer coupon codes are surfaced inline — if a retailer has an active promo code that applies to your part, you'll see it right in the results with a one-click copy button. No hunting through coupon sites.

Stock status is shown in real time. If a part is out of stock at one retailer, GunCloud automatically highlights the next-best option so you're never stuck on a dead end.

Using AI Search for Natural Language Queries

Not sure exactly what part you need? GunCloud's AI Search mode lets you describe what you're looking for in plain English. Type something like "mil-spec BCG under $120 for a 5.56 build" or "lightweight handguard for a 10.5 inch pistol build" and the AI parses your intent, identifies the relevant part category and specifications, and returns matching results.

The AI assistant is also available as a floating chat widget on every page. Ask it anything — "What's the difference between a carbine and rifle-length gas system?", "Which BCG finish is most durable?", "What trigger would you recommend for a precision build under $200?" — and it responds with part recommendations linked directly to search results.

Finding Parts with Interactive Schematics

If you're not sure what a part is called, GunCloud's interactive schematics are the fastest way to find it. Browse 16 firearm diagrams — AR-15, AK-47, Glock 19, Remington 700, Mossberg 500, and more — and click any hotspot dot on the diagram to see the part name and jump directly to search results for that component.

This is especially useful for gunsmiths and builders who are working from a physical firearm and need to identify a part by its location rather than its name.

5 Tips to Get the Best Deal on Gun Parts

1

Check the coupon strip on the homepage

GunCloud's homepage features a live deals strip with active coupon codes from indexed retailers. Check it before any purchase — a 10% code can easily offset shipping costs.

2

Sort by total cost, not just part price

A part that's $5 cheaper but has $12 shipping is actually more expensive. GunCloud's comparison table sorts by total delivered cost by default — always use that view.

3

Use Part Number Lookup for exact replacements

When replacing a worn or broken part, use the Part # Lookup mode with the OEM part number from your manual. This guarantees you're ordering the exact same spec, not a similar-but-different part.

4

Browse schematics before you search

If you're not 100% sure what a part is called, start with the schematics. Clicking a hotspot gives you the correct part name, which makes keyword search far more accurate.

5

Ask the AI assistant for build advice

The floating AI chat widget isn't just for finding parts — it can help you plan a complete build, compare upgrade options, and explain compatibility. It's free and requires no account.
